What is Aspect Ratio?
Aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between the width and height of an image or screen. It describes how wide an image is compared to how tall it is. It is commonly written as two numbers separated by a colon, as in 16:9.
Common Aspect Ratios
- 16:9: Standard widescreen format used for most modern TVs, laptops, and YouTube videos.
- 4:3: Traditional TV and computer monitor standard used before the widescreen era.
- 1:1: Perfect square ratio, commonly used for Instagram posts and profile pictures.
